What in the heck is going on here?
Before I get to today’s disjointed, meandering post I want to send out a big ole reminder: We’re only a few days from the next Gratitude Wave for the troops! For first-time readers, a “Gratitude Wave” is a social media hug from all of us to our military troops and families all over the world.
We pick a time and day and everyone tweets or changes their FaceBook status to say a brief thank you to the troops. The next wave is this coming Tuesday, November 24, 12 Noon EST (7 Pm in Iraq and 8 PM in Afghanistan).
If you want to participate start sending this info to your friends on FB or Twitter and get as many people to join us at Noon EST on Tuesday!

Now for the meandering, disjointed part…
Can’t I take one day away from the website to hang out with Moses and move my family to another state without you people going nutty? Look at the blog hits counter! I had no idea we were even close to 120k. I didn’t get to announce the contest and the rules and all that sort as we approached 120,000 readers. This move to Virginia has swallowed what was left of my brain.
That said two of you did notice the counter and commented without a contest being announced.
That said that said the winner has been contacted and we will talk tomorrow or Friday (HINT! It’s not Mel… a previous winner).
Here’s a whopper for you: I was already writing a story about the winner and her daughter! I’m not kidding. How weird is that? It freaked me out. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised anymore. It’s kooky every time we have the contest and now it’s odd even when no one knows there’s a contest!
Okay, I have to go look for a cardboard box that says, “Mike’s pants.” My son peed on the jeans I wore last night as I lifted him into the bathtub.. I’m thinking I need something fresh non-urine-wofting for today.

So excited you will be talking about the Gratitude Wave on Mon or Tues. I am so excited! The Gratitude Wave is going to rock and its all because of Anna and you. I am so thankful you both have a heart for our troops and our military families, including me. LOL!!!
I hope you can find the box that says Mikes pants! I hope you did label them???? The joy of having a little one.
Glad even though you do not live NC we are still able to keep up with you!! Love your stories.
