When a Superhero has Cancer
May 12th, 2010 by Mike Redding
Aunt Melly, a SASTP regular, sent me this one… It made me lose it. I cried through the last four or five paragraphs. This is what life is about… the dreams of those who deserve them most but have the least.
Thanks for posting this one… I knew it was your kind of story as soon as I read it. I believe these kinds of people are everywhere, we just don’t hear about them enough. I can only imagine the smile on Electron Boy’s face as he drifted off to sleep that night…and the next night…
So cool…
p.s. here is a follow up article… it explains more about Erik’s condition and how much hard work and “heart” work went into making his wish come true… amazing!
